WCW: Leslie Jones
Welcome to my Woman Crush Wednesdays (WCW) where I’ll be celebrating the black women I stan (and you should too).
This week’s WCW is one for the funniest human beings on the planet: comedian and actor, Leslie Jones.
She’s one of the few black women to be a cast member and writer for Saturday Night Live (SNL).

Her work on SNL has made her a two time Emmy nominee for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
She also has a Showtime comedy special called Problem Child.
And a standout role in the 2016 Ghostbusters remake as Patty Tolan. Patty provided a great example of the uniqueness that is black hair.

Her character also inspired some dope ass collectible figures.

Not to mention that she’s probably the greatest live tweeter of all time.
Leslie, I’m not only a beneficiary of the joy and laughter you give the world but I love and appreciate your confidence, your swag, and your hair. You’re a prime example of the dopeness that comes from black talent meeting opportunity. You’re a queen of comedy. Thank you for all the laughs. Keep being great and doing you!
